Ingredients
For the Mozzarella Sticks

8 mozzarella string-cheese sticks (or equivalent)

~¼ cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs, beaten

~1 cup panko breadcrumbs (or mix of panko + regular breadcrumbs)

½ tsp garlic powder

½ tsp Italian seasoning (optional)

½ tsp fine salt

Instructions
1. Prepare & Freeze
Unwrap mozzarella sticks and cut in half if desired.
Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with seasonings.
Dredge each stick in flour, dip in egg, then coat in breadcrumbs — repeat the egg and breadcrumb step for a double coat if you like it extra crispy.
Place breaded sticks on a tray and freeze for at least 30 minutes (to prevent cheese leakage).
2. Preheat the Air Fryer
Preheat your air fryer to 390–400°F (≈200°C) for a few minutes.
3. Air Fry the Mozzarella Sticks
Lightly spray the air fryer basket and sticks with cooking spray.
Arrange in a single layer, leaving space between each stick.
Air fry for 5–8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crisp.
Watch closely — once cheese begins to ooze slightly, they’re done.
4. Serve
Let rest 1–2 minutes before serving.
Serve immediately with marinara or ranch dip, and sprinkle with Parmesan or parsley if desired.
