Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450g) beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/2 tsp black pepper (adjust to taste)
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1/2 onion, sliced
- 2 cups cooked white rice
- 1 tbsp green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Marinate the Beef: In a bowl, combine the sliced beef, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and minced garlic. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Cook the Vegetables: Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the onions and bell peppers, and stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until slightly softened. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- Cook the Beef: In the same pan, add the marinated beef and cook for about 3-4 minutes until browned. Add black pepper and mix well.
- Combine Everything: Return the cooked vegetables to the pan with the beef. Stir everything together and let it cook for another 1-2 minutes.
- Assemble the Bowl: Place cooked white rice in a bowl and top it with the beef and pepper mixture.
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds for extra flavor. Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
- For extra flavor, try adding a splash of rice vinegar or mirin to the sauce.
- You can also add mushrooms or carrots for additional texture and taste.
- If you prefer a lower-carb option, serve this over cauliflower rice instead.
