Candied Bacon Crackers (Sweet & Salty Party Appetizer!)

  • Author: Lina Quinn

Description

If you love the sweet-and-savory magic of candied bacon and the crunch of a buttery cracker, then this recipe is about to become your go-to for every gathering, game day, or last-minute snack craving. These Candied Bacon Crackers are the perfect combination of crisp, salty bacon, golden brown sugar, and melt-in-your-mouth crackers—basically, flavor perfection in bite-sized form.

Ingredients

  • Club Crackers: Their buttery, crisp texture is perfect here. Townhouse or even Ritz work too!

  • Thin Cut Bacon: Thin is key—it crisps up nicely and cooks evenly without overbaking the crackers.

  • Brown Sugar: This caramelizes on top for that sweet, candied crunch.

  • Black Pepper (Optional): A little spice to cut through the sweetness. Highly recommended!

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a large baking sheet with foil and place an oven-safe wire rack on top. This helps the bacon crisp up and prevents sogginess.

  2. Wrap each cracker with a half-slice of bacon and lay them on the rack.

  3. Sprinkle brown sugar on top of each one—about ½ teaspoon per cracker. Add a pinch of black pepper if you like a little kick.

  4. Bake for 20–25 minutes until the bacon is golden and crispy and the sugar is caramelized.

  5. Let cool slightly before serving—if you can wait that long!

Notes

  • To Store Leftovers: Keep at room temperature for up to 2 hours. Beyond that, store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.

  • To Freeze: Yes, you can freeze them! Let them cool completely, then place in a freezer-safe bag for up to 1 month. Reheat in the oven for a few minutes to crisp back up.
