These delicious coconut bars are a perfect treat for any occasion, combining a rich coconut flavor with a soft and chewy texture.
Ingredients
2 cups of shredded coconut
1 cup of sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
1/4 cup of butter, melted
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon of salt
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
2. In a large bowl, combine the shredded coconut, sweetened condensed milk, flour, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt.
3. Mix until well combined and pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
4. Spread it evenly and press down gently to compact.
5. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
6. Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.
Notes
For a tropical twist, you can add chopped nuts or chocolate chips to the mixture before baking.
