Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract and crushed pineapple.
4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
