Ingredients
1 package of refrigerated croissant dough (8 oz)
1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup of sliced pepperoni
1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning (optional)
1 egg (for egg wash)
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Unroll the croissant dough onto a clean surface and separate it into triangles.
3. Place a small amount of shredded mozzarella cheese and a few slices of pepperoni at the wide end of each triangle.
4. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper if desired.
5. Roll up each croissant starting from the wide end, tucking in the sides as you roll.
6. Place the rolled croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
7. Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush it over the tops of the croissants for a golden finish.
8. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
9. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding garlic powder or crushed red pepper flakes to the filling. These rolls can also be frozen before baking; just allow them to thaw before baking.
