Grilled Cheeseburger Wraps

  • Author: Linda

Description

If you want all the flavor of a cheeseburger — juicy beef, melted cheese, fresh veggies — but in a crispy, handheld wrap, these Grilled Cheeseburger Wraps are perfect. They’re ideal for a quick dinner, a fun lunch, or even a cookout.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large flour tortillas

  • 500 g (about 1.1 lb) ground beef

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • 4 slices of cheddar (or any melting cheese you prefer)

  • 4 tbsp ketchup

  • 4 tbsp mustard

  • 1 small onion, sliced into rings

  • 1 tomato, sliced

  • About 2 handfuls of salad greens (lettuce, arugula, or similar)

  • Oil (for grilling)

Instructions

  • Cook the Beef

    • In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef.

    • While cooking, season with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

    • Once cooked through, remove from heat.

  • Melt the Cheese

    • Place a slice of cheddar on top of the hot meat so it melts slightly.

  • Prepare Tortillas

    • Warm the flour tortillas a bit (in a skillet or microwave) so they become flexible and easy to roll.

  • Assemble the Wraps

    • Spread ketchup and mustard onto each tortilla.

    • Add some of the beef with melted cheese.

    • Top with onion rings, tomato slices, and salad greens.

    • Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll tightly from the bottom.

  • Grill the Wraps

    • Brush a little oil on a grill pan (or regular pan) over medium heat.

    • Place each wrap seam-side down, then grill for 2–3 minutes per side until the wrap is golden and crispy.

  • Serve

    • Serve hot, optionally with extra ketchup or mustard on the side.

    • They go great with fries, salad, or just on their own as a filling snack.

Notes

  • Be careful not to overfill the wraps, so they’re easier to roll and grill.

  • Gently warming the tortillas helps prevent them from tearing when you fold.

  • Grill on moderate heat so the outside crisps without burning before the inside is heated.
