Here’s a simple and delicious guide to making chocolate-covered strawberries:

  • Author: lina_recipes

Description

Chocolate-covered strawberries are the perfect treat for special occasions, gifts, or just an indulgent snack. They are easy to make and require just a few ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pint (about 12-16) fresh strawberries
  • 6 oz (about 1 cup) semi-sweet or dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1 tsp coconut oil or butter (optional, for a smoother texture)
  • White chocolate (optional, for drizzling)
  • Toppings like crushed nuts, sprinkles, or shredded coconut (optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Strawberries: Wash the strawberries and pat them completely dry with a paper towel. Moisture will prevent the chocolate from sticking properly.
  • Melt the Chocolate: Place the chopped chocolate and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth. You can also melt the chocolate using a double boiler.
  • Dip the Strawberries: Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip it into the melted chocolate, allowing the excess to drip off. If using toppings, roll the chocolate-covered strawberry in them before the chocolate hardens.
  • Set and Chill: Place the dipped strawberries on a parchment-lined baking sheet. If desired, drizzle with melted white chocolate for decoration. Let them set at room temperature or refrigerate for about 15 minutes until firm.
  • Serve and Enjoy: Once the chocolate is fully set, your strawberries are ready to be enjoyed!
