Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 large egg
3/4 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
3. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, cream cheese, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
4. Add the egg to the mixture and mix until well combined.
5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
7. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
9. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For an extra touch, you can drizzle melted chocolate over the cooled cookies or sprinkle some sea salt on top before baking.
