Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup chopped parsley
1 egg
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 cups marinara sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
3. Shape the mixture into small meatballs (about 1 inch in diameter) and place them on a baking sheet.
4. Bake the meatballs for 20 minutes or until browned and cooked through.
5. In a large casserole dish, spread half of the marinara sauce on the bottom. Place the cooked meatballs on top of the sauce.
6. Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the meatballs and sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese.
7. Bake in the oven for an additional 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
Notes
Feel free to use store-bought meatballs if you’re short on time. You can also add vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms for added flavor.
