Description
These Oreo Sweet Sushi Rolls are a playful, dessert-style treat — creamy, chocolatey, and fun to eat. Think of them as a fusion between cookies, creamy filling, and the “roll” format, perfect for parties, snack time, or a creative dessert twist.
Ingredients
- 20–24 full Oreo cookies (or similar chocolate-cream sandwich cookies)
-
½ cup (about 120 g) cream cheese, softened
-
¼ cup heavy cream (or whipping cream), chilled
-
2 tablespoons powdered sugar (adjust to taste)
-
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
-
Optional: melted chocolate or chocolate syrup for drizzling
-
Optional toppings: crushed cookies, chopped nuts, sprinkles, or crushed candies
Instructions
1. Prepare the Cookie “Rice”
-
Remove the cream filling from all the Oreo cookies (you can use a butter knife or a small spatula).
-
Crush the chocolate cookie halves finely (food processor or by placing in a zip bag and pounding gently) until they resemble fine crumbs. Set aside.
2. Make the Creamy Filling
-
In a bowl, whip chilled heavy cream until soft peaks form.
-
In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth.
-
Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully combined and creamy.
3. Assemble the Rolls
-
On a large piece of plastic wrap (cling film), spread the crushed Oreo cookie crumbs evenly to form a “sheet” (about ¼–½ inch thick).
-
Spread the creamy filling in a uniform layer over the cookie “sheet.”
-
Use the plastic wrap to help gently roll the “sheet” into a tight log — like rolling sushi.
-
Wrap the log tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 1 hour (to firm up).
4. Slice & Decorate
-
After chilling, unwrap and slice the roll into ½–¾ inch “sushi” slices.
-
Arrange on a plate or tray.
-
Drizzle with melted chocolate or chocolate syrup.
-
Optional: sprinkle with crushed cookies, chopped nuts, sprinkles, or crushed candies.
5. Serve & Enjoy
-
Serve chilled for best texture and flavor.
-
Great with a cup of coffee, tea, or a cold glass of milk.
Notes
-
Cream filling must be well chilled before rolling — warm filling will make the roll collapse.
-
Make sure cookie crumbs are fine and evenly spread to avoid cracks in the roll.
-
Chill thoroughly before slicing — it helps the roll hold its shape.
