Description

Looking for an easy and delicious one-pan meal that’s packed with flavor? This savory one-pan chicken and creamy buttered noodles recipe is the perfect comfort food for busy weeknights. Juicy, seasoned chicken cooked to perfection pairs beautifully with rich, buttery noodles for a dish the whole family will love.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Chicken:

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

For the Noodles:

  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the Chicken: Pat the chicken dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  2. Sear the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  3. Cook the Noodles: In the same pan, add butter and minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
  4. Simmer and Add Cream: Add the egg noodles to the broth, stirring occasionally. Cook until most of the liquid is absorbed, about 8-10 minutes. Reduce heat and stir in the heavy cream, salt, and pepper.
  5. Combine Everything: Return the cooked chicken to the pan, nestling it into the noodles. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the top and let it melt.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!
