  • Author: Linda

Description

These Sticky Garlic Chicken Noodles combine tender chicken, chewy noodles, and a garlicky, sticky sauce for a warm and comforting meal you can whip up quickly.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 450 g (1 lb) boneless, skinless chicken breast or thighs, cut into strips

  • Salt and pepper, to season

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 60 ml (¼ cup) soy sauce

  • 60 ml (¼ cup) honey

  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

  • 350400 g (12–14 oz) cooked noodles (egg noodles, udon, or your favorite)

  • 1 cup vegetables like bell peppers, snap peas, or broccoli (optional)

  • Sesame seeds and green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook the Chicken

    • Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper.

    • In a large skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

    • Add the chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, then remove and set aside.

  • Make the Sauce

    • In the same pan, add a little extra oil if needed and sauté the minced garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

    • Stir in the soy sauce, honey, vinegar, and sesame oil. Bring to a simmer.

  • Add Veggies (Optional)

    • If using, add your chopped vegetables to the sauce and stir-fry until they are tender but still crisp.

  • Combine with Noodles

    • Return the cooked chicken to the pan. Add the cooked noodles and toss everything in the sticky garlic sauce, making sure the sauce coats everything evenly.

  • Garnish & Serve

    • Sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Serve immediately while hot and saucy.

Notes

  • Use cooked noodles so they don’t overcook when added to the sauce.

  • Adjust honey and soy sauce to balance sweetness and saltiness to your taste.

  • Be careful not to burn the garlic — it can become bitter quickly.
