This Sweet and Spicy Honey Pepper Chicken is a perfect blend of sweet honey, spicy pepper, and tender chicken. It’s quick to prepare and full of flavor, making it an ideal weeknight dinner option!
Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
1/2 cup honey
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
1. In a bowl, mix together honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, crushed red pepper flakes, black pepper, garlic powder, and salt.
2. Marinate the chicken thighs in the honey mixture for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
4. Remove chicken from marinade (reserve the marinade) and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
5. Pour the reserved marinade into the skillet and bring it to a simmer for about 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
6. Serve the chicken drizzled with the sweet and spicy sauce.
Notes
You can adjust the level of spiciness by increasing or decreasing the amount of crushed red pepper flakes. Serve with rice or vegetables for a complete meal.
