Ingredients
For the Sweet and Spicy Honey Pepper Chicken:
– 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
– 1/2 cup honey
– 1 tablespoon soy sauce
– 1 teaspoon black pepper
– 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
– Salt to taste
For the Creamy Mac and Cheese:
– 8 oz elbow macaroni
– 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
– 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
– 3 tablespoons butter
– 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
– 2 cups milk
– Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, black pepper, red pepper flakes, and salt.
3. Place chicken breasts in a baking dish and pour the honey mixture over them.
4. Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
5. While the chicken is baking, cook elbow macaroni according to package instructions; drain.
6. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for about 1 minute.
7. Gradually whisk in milk and cook until thickened; then stir in cheddar and Parmesan cheeses until melted.
8. Combine cooked macaroni with cheese sauce, adding salt and pepper to taste.
9. Serve honey pepper chicken alongside creamy mac and cheese.
