A Steak Bomb is basically what would happen if a Philly cheesesteak and a loaded pizza had a beautiful, delicious baby. It’s packed with tender steak, melty cheese, caramelized peppers and onions, and enough flavor to make you want to high-five your kitchen.

For the Meat:

  • 2 lbs beef sirloin or ribeye (get a good quality cut – this is the star of the show)
  • Salt and black pepper (don’t be shy)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter (because why not?)

For the Peppers and Onions:

  • 2 large green bell peppers, sliced
  • 2 large onions, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Optional: 2-3 jalapeños if you want extra heat

For the Cheese Situation:

  • 1/2 lb provolone cheese, sliced
  • 1/2 lb Swiss cheese, sliced
  • Optional: 1/4 cup cream cheese (for extra decadence)

For the Bread:

  • 2 large Italian sub rolls or hoagie rolls (the sturdy kind that can handle all this goodness)
  • 2 tablespoons butter for toasting

Optional Add-Ins:

  • Sliced mushrooms
  • Hot pepper rings
  • Banana peppers
  • Sriracha or hot sauce
