- 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika or a mix of paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 3 to 4 large flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar, mozzarella, or favorite
- Optional fillings: lettuce tomato slices, avocado, shredded cabbage, or sauce (mayonnaise, ranch, yogurt-based, or hot sauce)
- Optional: oil or cooking spray for crisping
Cut the chicken into strips or bite-sized pieces and toss with olive oil, paprika, salt, and pepper until well coated.
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the chicken in a single layer in the basket.
Cook the chicken for 10 to 12 minutes, turning halfway through, until fully cooked and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Warm the tortillas briefly in a skillet or microwave for 20 to 30 seconds to make them soft and pliable.
If desired, spread your preferred sauce onto each tortilla. Layer with cooked chicken, shredded cheese, and any optional vegetables.
For a crisp wrap, lightly brush or spray the outside with oil and air fry at 375–400°F (190–200°C) for 5 to 7 minutes until cheese melts and tortilla crisps.
Carefully remove the wraps, slice if desired, and serve warm with a side salad, fries, or dipping sauce.
- Add chili powder or cayenne for extra heat.
- Include bell peppers or roasted veggies for more flavor and nutrition.
- Try different cheeses like cheddar or mozzarella for variation.
- Cook chicken ahead for quick weekday meals.
