Equipment

  • 1 air fryer
  • 1 skillet or microwave to warm tortillas

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika or a mix of paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 3 to 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar, mozzarella, or favorite
  • Optional fillings: lettuce tomato slices, avocado, shredded cabbage, or sauce (mayonnaise, ranch, yogurt-based, or hot sauce)
  • Optional: oil or cooking spray for crisping

Instructions

  • Cut the chicken into strips or bite-sized pieces and toss with olive oil, paprika, salt, and pepper until well coated.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the chicken in a single layer in the basket.
  • Cook the chicken for 10 to 12 minutes, turning halfway through, until fully cooked and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Warm the tortillas briefly in a skillet or microwave for 20 to 30 seconds to make them soft and pliable.
  • If desired, spread your preferred sauce onto each tortilla. Layer with cooked chicken, shredded cheese, and any optional vegetables.
  • For a crisp wrap, lightly brush or spray the outside with oil and air fry at 375–400°F (190–200°C) for 5 to 7 minutes until cheese melts and tortilla crisps.
  • Carefully remove the wraps, slice if desired, and serve warm with a side salad, fries, or dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Add chili powder or cayenne for extra heat.
  • Include bell peppers or roasted veggies for more flavor and nutrition.
  • Try different cheeses like cheddar or mozzarella for variation.
  • Cook chicken ahead for quick weekday meals.
