Equipment

  • 1 tray lined with parchment paper for freezing
  • 1 microwave-safe bowl for melting chocolate

Ingredients
  

  • 3 bananas sliced into rounds
  • ½ cup whipped cream or whipped topping
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • cups chocolate chips milk or dark
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil optional
  • Toppings optional: crushed peanuts or almonds, sprinkles, shredded coconut, crushed cookies

Instructions
 

  • Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth.
  • Fold whipped cream gently into the cream cheese mixture until fluffy.
  • Spread or pipe a small amount of filling onto one banana slice and top with another slice to form a bite.
  • Place assembled bites on a parchment-lined tray and freeze for 30 to 45 minutes until firm.
  • Melt chocolate chips with coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl in 20 to 30 second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  • Dip each frozen bite into the melted chocolate and immediately sprinkle with desired toppings.
  • Return coated bites to the freezer for 30 to 60 minutes until the chocolate is fully set.
  • Serve frozen bites straight from the freezer.

Notes

  • Work quickly when dipping to prevent melting.
  • Use ripe but firm bananas for best texture.
  • Store in an airtight container in the freezer.
