Equipment

  • 1 oven preheated to 375 °F
  • 1 baking sheet lined with parchment paper
  • 1 mixing bowl for filling

Ingredients

  • 10 –14 oz cooked shrimp chopped
  • 1 sheet puff pastry or crescent roll dough thawed
  • 1 cup shredded cheese mozzarella, cheddar, or blend
  • ½ cup cream cheese softened
  • 2 –3 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 –3 tbsp fresh parsley or chives chopped
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Optional: lemon zest or hot sauce for extra zing

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine chopped shrimp, shredded cheese, softened cream cheese, minced garlic, and chopped herbs. Season with salt and pepper and mix evenly.
  • Preheat the oven to 375 °F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Unroll the puff pastry or crescent dough on a clean surface. If using crescent dough, pinch seams to seal.
  • Spread the shrimp and cheese filling evenly over the dough.
  • Roll the dough tightly from one edge into a log.
  • Slice the log into 8 to 10 equal pieces and place them cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until rolls are golden brown and the cheese has melted.
  • Let the rolls cool slightly before serving warm, optionally drizzling with lemon juice or hot sauce.

Notes

  • Puff pastry gives flaky layers; crescent dough yields softer rolls.
  • Mix mozzarella and pepper jack cheese for extra flavor.
  • Serve with marinara, garlic butter, or ranch dip.
  • Assemble in advance and refrigerate until baking.
