- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion finely chopped
- 2 –3 garlic cloves minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 14 oz tomato sauce 1 can
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt or to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: dash of hot sauce or cayenne pepper for heat
Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
Add ground beef and chopped onion, cook while breaking up the meat until beef is browned and onion is softened.
Drain excess fat if necessary.
Stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 to 60 seconds until fragrant.
Add beef broth, tomato sauce, and tomato paste to the skillet.
Mix in Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, ground cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
