Equipment

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups cooked chicken shredded or diced
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 can 14 oz black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar, Monterey Jack, or blend
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 4-6 large flour tortillas
  • Optional toppings: salsa sour cream, avocado or guacamole, chopped cilantro, lime wedges

Instructions
 

  • Combine cooked chicken, chili powder, ground cumin, salt, and pepper in a bowl; mix until evenly coated.
  • Warm the seasoned chicken, cooked rice, and black beans in a skillet or microwave until heated through, if desired.
  • Lay a flour tortilla flat and add rice, seasoned chicken, black beans, and shredded cheese.
  • Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling and roll tightly to enclose.
  • Optional: place burritos seam-side down in a skillet over medium heat and cook 1–2 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
  • Serve the burritos warm with your choice of toppings like salsa, sour cream, avocado, cilantro, or lime wedges.

  • Boost protein by adding scrambled eggs for breakfast burritos.
  • Add bell peppers, corn, or sautéed onions for extra flavor.
