Ingredients
  

  • 2 sheets puff pastry thawed
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar, pepper jack, or blend
  • 6 –8 slices cooked bacon chopped
  • 1 –2 tbsp hot sauce or sriracha to taste
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Optional: chopped green onions or jalapeños for extra heat
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400 °F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine shredded cheese, chopped bacon, hot sauce, garlic powder, paprika, and optional green onions or jalapeños.
  • Unfold the puff pastry sheets and lay them flat on a clean surface.
  • Divide the filling evenly over the two sheets and spread into an even layer.
  • Roll each puff pastry sheet tightly from the long side into a log.
  • Slice each log into 1-inch rounds and place cut side up on the prepared baking sheet, spacing slightly apart.
  • Brush the tops lightly with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  • Bake for 15 to 18 minutes until the pinwheels are puffed and golden brown.
  • Allow pinwheels to cool slightly before serving with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

  • Choose pepper jack cheese for added spice or cheddar for classic flavor.
  • Add more jalapeños or chili flakes for increased heat.
  • Assemble in advance and refrigerate before baking.
