Frequently Asked Questions
Can I make Salisbury steak ahead of time?
Yes! This dish reheats extremely well. Store in the fridge for 3–4 days or freeze up to 2 months.
Can I use ground turkey instead of beef?
Absolutely — just add an extra tablespoon of breadcrumbs to help it hold together.
Why did my gravy turn out thin?
It may need more simmering time, or a little extra flour. Let it bubble on low until it thickens.
Can I add mushrooms?
Yes! Add sliced mushrooms with the onions and sauté until browned.
Can I double the gravy?
Definitely — just double all gravy ingredients. Many people prefer extra gravy for serving over potatoes.
